Reading these things just annoys me. It’s not the knee-jerk call to castration for sex offenders, it’s the tiresome diatribes that so often drift into the irrelevent and legally unjustified. I’m not upset because an 84 year old man came up with an implausible excuse that he mistook a 10 year old for her mother, and that the act was performed with a banana, that’s simply the social lubricant we use daily.

It would simply be too outre for an 84 year old Priest to state the bald facts, hence the banana. Everyone knows what really happened, but we still like to believe we live in a polite society, albiet one filled with sex offenders, but we’re working on castrating them so that shouldn’t be a long term issue.
